I’ve always wanted to make music that moves someone. The kind that brings you to tears, makes you smile, or gives you words you didn’t know you needed.
Life took me through years of studying medicine and into fatherhood. Music stayed close, even when it lived in the background.
During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I started writing to make sense of what I felt. First thoughts. Then letters. Then lines, lyrics, and melodies. I’d always believed I wasn’t creative. I never expected to find myself here.
Now a conversation, a scene, or a photograph can leave me with a feeling I can’t shake. I write until it becomes something I can share. Every song carries something personal, from the tender and difficult to the joyful, bold, and a little sassy.
WITH MIKAL began in spring 2024. I was making music for myself and never imagined people around the world would find it and hear something of their own lives in it. That connection is why I keep sharing.
